Livingston was a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was founded in 1999 as one of nine constituencies of the election region Lothians introduced. In the course of the revision in 2011, the constituencies were redesigned and the Livingston constituency abolished. The areas were largely absorbed in the new Almond Valley constituency . It included the cities of Livingston and Broxburn to the west of Edinburgh and their surroundings. Broxburn is now in the constituency of Linlithgow . In the 2001 census survey, a total of 87,343 people lived within its borders. The constituency sent a deputy.
