Linlithgow is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was founded in 1999 as one of nine constituencies of the election region Lothians introduced, which was part of the revision of constituencies again cut in 2011 and renamed Lothian. The boundaries of the Linlithgow constituency were redrawn. The constituency includes the northern areas of the West Lothian Council Area and thus the cities of Bathgate , Linlithgow and Whitburn . Due to the new borders, the city of Broxburn has also been part of the Linlithgow constituency since 2011 . The constituency sends a representative.
The constituency covers an area of 214.6 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 89,953 people lived within its borders. This makes Linlithgow the most populous constituency for the Scottish Parliament.
