The Juntas de Ofensiva Nacional Sindicalista (JONS, dt. Associations of Nationalsyndikalistischen offensive ) were a right-wing nationalsyndikalistische political movement in Spain of the Second Republic . They were created on October 10, 1931 through the merger of the group led by Ramiro Ledesma around the Italian fascism- oriented magazine "La Conquista del Estado" with the Junta Castellana de Actuación Hispánica (German Castilian Association for Hispanic Action ) by Onésimo Redondo . The JONS were a small, radical organization, which was mainly supported by students in Madrid and workers and farmers from the province of Valladolid . The JONS were led by a central triumvirate consisting of Ledesma, Redondo and Francisco Jiménez.

In 1933 the JONS gained a following. They began to publish their own, theoretically oriented journal called JONS . The JONS were also involved in the Castilian trade union movement. Their member Gutiérrez Palma founded a transport workers' union in Valladolid in 1933. In the same year the JONS founded a federation of agricultural workers' unions, which in six months founded 175 trade union groups with a total of 3,000 members. In 1933 Ledesma also returned from political exile in Portugal and resumed his journalistic activities.

The JONS 'scope of action extended to the whole country, in particular to the cities of Valencia , Granada , Valladolid and Santiago de Compostela . In Zaragoza ("Revolución"), Galicia ("Unidad") and Valencia ("Patria Sindicalista") the movement published magazines.

At the National Assembly of the JONS, held as a secret event on February 12 and 13, 1934 in Madrid, the strong desire arose to unite with the Falange Española of José Antonio Primo de Rivera . Soon after the party meeting, on March 4th, the unification was officially consummated in Valladolid. The new party was named Falange Española de las Juntas de Ofensiva Nacional Sindicalista (FE de las JONS).

After his falling out with José Antonio Primo de Rivera, Ledesma was expelled from the FE de las JONS in 1935 and made the unsuccessful attempt to re-establish the JONS without the Falange. However, the vast majority of supporters stayed with the Falange.
