Juoza's Bastys
Juozas Bastys (born November 20, 1934 in Naujokaičiai , Šakiai Rajongemeinde ; † 1995 ) was a Lithuanian politician.
Life
After graduating from high school in 1953 in Raudonė near Jurbarkas , he worked in the editorial department of the newspaper in the Jurbarkas district and from 1954 to 1958 as a teacher in the Gelgaudiškis children's home , in the Lukšiai and Pavilkijys schools . From 1958 to 1961 he was Secretary of Komsomol in Šakiai . From 1961 to 1991 he headed a kolkhoz in Kriūkai and in 1992 the company UAB "Agrolina" as director. From 1992 to 1995 he was a member of the Seimas .
From 1989 he was a member of Lietuvos Demokratieinė darbo partija (LDDP), previously of the CPSU .
He was married. With his wife Aldona he had the children Kęstutis, Birutė, Algirdas, Jūratė, Mindaugas (* 1965).
