Juozas Galdikas
Juozas Galdikas (born October 31, 1958 in Druskininkai ) is a Lithuanian vascular surgeon and former politician .
Life
Galdikas graduated from the 1st Druskininkai Middle School, 7-year-old children's music school , 6-year-old children's and youth sports school (class for handball ) and the correspondence school for mathematicians at the Vilniaus universitetas and then studied at the Kauno medicinos institutas and at the VU. From 1983 he worked as a surgeon in the laboratory at the VU and received his doctorate in 1987. He has been a professor since 1996 . From 1996 to 2000 he was a member of the Seimas , from 1996 to 1998 the Minister of Health of Lithuania in the Vagnorius II cabinet . From 2001 he worked at the Office for Accreditation of Health Institutions, from 2006 Director.
He has been a member of Tėvynės sąjunga since 1993 .
With his wife Vilija he has the children Liudas, Jonas and Aistė.
