The Jupiter Amphitheater is an imposing, steep-walled and of a glacier ingested Valley in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Usarp Mountains , it lies in the eastern Morozumi Range between the Sickle Nunatak and Mount Van Veen .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963. Participants in a campaign of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition , which lasted from 1967 to 1968 , made the name.
