Jupiter Island ( English ; Russian Остров Юпитер Ostrow Jupiter , German 'Jupiterinsel' ) is an island off the Knox coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It's in the Bunger Hills .
Scientists on a Soviet Antarctic expedition mapped it and named it in 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated the name into English.
