Jurgen Leyers

Jurgen Leyers (born March 28, 1972 ) is a trance musician, also known as DJ Fire . Before that, he called himself DJ Energy for eight years. Leyers aka DJ Fire and L-Vee form the trance project Fire & Ice .

Leyers began his career behind the turntables of his school and gradually switched to dance music. In 1993 he was accepted into the team of the Belgian radio station "Rave FM". Appearances in large Belgian clubs as well as in other European countries soon followed. He played at the Dorian Gray in Frankfurt, at the Mystery Land Festival in Holland and in Switzerland.

Leyer's first efforts as a producer in 1997 were quickly rewarded. His first project was "Energy Source", which he produced with Dimitri Dewever and Francis van Mechelen. It became a small club hit and entered the official Belgian dance charts. Leyer's breakthrough as a producer came through collaborations with producers like Laurent Véronnez, Dimitri Dewever, & MIKE, who made it into the top 10 of the Belgian dance charts. The most successful project was " Fire & Ice ". The remix of Sonic Inc's “The Taste of Summer” stayed at number 1 for 2 weeks. In 2002 Leyers played at the Love Parade in Berlin.
