Jurgita Jurkutė-Širvaitė (born April 23, 1985 in Plungė , Lower Lithuania ) is a Lithuanian actress and presenter, former model and beauty queen .

Life

Jurgita Jurkutė started working as a photo model at the age of 16. In 2000 she became Ford Models Supermodel of Lithuania . In 2003 Jurkutė graduated from Plungė and began studying social work at Vilnius University . In 2007 the 22-year-old student was elected Miss Lithuania . In 2008 Jurkutė played a young woman Jolanta from the province in the Lithuanian television series "Moterys meluoja geriau" and in 2011 Ginevra Della Rocca in the mini-television series I cerchi nell'acqua . From 2009 to 2012 she was co-presenter with Vytautas Šapranauskas of the TV3 dance competition “Šok su manimi”. From 2010 to 2012 she also moderated the TV3 music competition “Chorų karai” with Šapranauskas.

In 2012 she completed her bachelor's degree in acting at the Lietuvos muzikos ir teatro akademija in Vilnius . In May 2016 she took part in the theater festival “Your Chance” in Moscow with the play The Brothers Karamazov and in June 2012 at the international student theater festival “Istropolitana Project” in Bratislava . She played Nastasja Filipovna in the play The Idiot (directed by Eimuntas Nekrošius ) and then in Divine Comedy with actors such as Rolandas Kazlas and Remigijus Vilkaitis . She also played in Chekhov's play Ivanov with the Lithuanian theater study "Theomai" in Grenoble .

On June 2, 2012, she married the entrepreneur Rytis Širvaitis, 17 years her senior, in Plungė .
