Remigijus Vilkaitis (born May 24, 1950 in Vilkaviškis Rayon , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian actor , former politician , member of the government of Lithuania and Lithuanian minister of culture .

Life

After graduating from Kristijonas Donelaitis Middle School Kybartai in 1967, Remigijus Vilkaitis did military service in the Soviet Army from 1967 to 1971 . From 1971 to 1975 he studied at the Lithuanian State Conservatory and then worked in the Jaunimas Theater until 2000 .

He took part in the films "Ties riba" (1972), "Pasigailėk mūsų" (1978), "Nebūsiu gangsteriu, brangioji" (1978), "Mėnulio Lietuva" (1997) and "Mano tėvas" (2006), as well as in the television film " Broliai ", (2008).

From December 9, 2008 to July 2, 2010, he was Lithuania's minister of culture for the “ Tautos prisikėlimo partija ” party . His successor was Arūnas Gelūnas .
