Rimantas Žylius

Rimantas Žylius (born June 24, 1973 in Klaipėda ) is a Lithuanian politician, former Minister of Economics of Lithuania .

Life

After graduating from the Ieva Simonaitytė Middle School in Klaipėda in 1991 , Rimantas Žylius completed a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in organizational psychology at the Vilniaus universitetas .

From 2000 to 2001 he was advisor to the prime minister for questions of the knowledge society , from 2001 to 2002 senior advisor in the Seimas . He used to work for companies such as " Hewlett-Packard " and "Metasite". From January 8th, 2009 to January 26th, 2009 he was a non-profit advisor to the Minister for Economic Affairs, Dainius Kreivys . From January 26, 2009 to March 2011, he was Deputy Minister of Economy of Lithuania . From March 17, 2011 to 2012, he was Lithuania's Minister of Economic Affairs.
