Artūras Melianas

Artūras Melianas (born February 25, 1964 , Panevėžys ) is a Lithuanian politician, former Minister of the Interior of Lithuania .

Life

Melianas completed after high school at the third middle school Panevezys 1982 study on trade pilot Vilnius and 1992 the study of economic and 1999 social work at the University of Vilnius . From 1995 to 2000 he was the deputy director of the Vilnius Municipality Center for Social Welfare and from 2006 deputy head of the Vilnius District . From 1997 to 2000 he was a member of the Vilnius City Council , from 2000 to 2004 and from 2008 to 2012 a member of the Seimas . From April 16, 2012 to December 2012, he was Minister of the Interior of Lithuania in the government of Andrius Kubilius .

Melianas is married and with wife Lina, they have the sons Armantas, Evaldas and Titas.
