The Vilnius College (lit.Vilniaus kolegija ) is a state university in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . The college has 8 faculties. The university emerged from several higher schools in the city. The college has 7,500 students and over 1,000 employees, including 465 teachers.

On September 1, 2000, the Vilnius College was founded. The Ministry of Education of Lithuania reorganized three secondary schools in Vilnius in 2000: School of Electronics , School of Economics and Business School . In 2001, the Vilnius Medical School and the Buivydiškės Agricultural School (former technical center in Antaviliai ) were also included. In 2002 the Vilnius Pedagogical School and the Vilnius Technological School were added, and in 2003 the Vilnius Clothing Study Center and the Vilnius School of Light Industry with the Technology Study Center.
