Miss Lithuania
Miss Lithuania is an annual national beauty pageant for unmarried women in Lithuania . Domestically it is called Mis Lietuva . Winners and finalists take part in the international elections for Miss World (since 1993), Miss Europe (since 1991) and Miss Baltic Sea (since 1990).
The first beauty contests were organized by UAB Lietuvos grožio formulė (led by Jūratė Vilimienė), then by Academia Femina (Izolda Gudelis). In 1999 the rights to the organization were fiercely disputed; Entrepreneur J. Vilimienė was later not involved.
