Miss Baltic Sea
Miss Baltic Sea ( Miss Baltic Sea ) was a beauty contest for participants from the Baltic Sea bordering countries Denmark , Germany , Estonia , Finland , Latvia , Lithuania , Poland , Russia and Sweden . It was launched in 1990 and has always taken place in Finland, with one exception: at the end of 1994 it was held in Tallinn (Estonia).
The competition was broadcast by the Finnish TV station MTV3 and sponsored in cooperation with the Finnartist agency , which also organized the Miss Scandinavia competition.
The event took place at the end of the year preceding the “year of office” (shown in the table).
In 2006 Miss Baltic Sea was merged with Miss Scandinavia : the new competition was called Miss Baltic Sea and Scandinavia . All countries that were allowed to take part in the previous competitions were eligible to start. This event also took place before the “year of office”. After only two events, this competition was discontinued in 2009.
