Miss Malta

Miss Malta is an annual national beauty pageant for unmarried women on the island group of Malta . It has been carried out since 1963 - the country's independence. Every year, 20 candidates from the different municipalities of the islands of Malta and Gozo stand for election.
Until his death in 2012, the organizer was George Gatt Mangion with his GM Productions , which held the title rights to Miss Malta , Miss Republic of Malta , Miss Gozo and Lady Malta . Since 2013 the event has been organized and produced by “Studio Seven”.
The Maltese participant in Miss World has been selected by the agency Modelle International since 2002 in a separate competition under the name Miss World Malta (owners: Sue Rossi and Claudia Calleja ).
