Yuri Borisovich Yelagin

Yuri Borissowitsch Jelagin ( Russian Юрий Борисович Елагин ; born May 31, 1910 in Moscow , † September 4, 1987 in Washington, DC ) was a Russian musician and writer.

Yelagin worked as a violinist at the Moscow Art Theater and the Vakhtangov Theater . In 1929 he was temporarily imprisoned. During the Second World War he was in a German concentration camp. After the war he played in the USA in the Houston Symphony Orchestra .
