Yuri Petrovich Figatner

Yuri Petrovich Figatner ( Russian Юрий Петрович Фигатнер ; 1889 in Odessa - September 20, 1937 in Moscow ) was a Russian revolutionary and politician.

Figatner was People's Commissar for Internal Affairs in the Terek Republic in 1918, and in 1919 he went to the Transcaucasus to do illegal party work . From March 1921 to February 1922 he was secretary of the Caucasian Office of the Central Committee of the KPR . Later he worked in a responsible position in the economy. From the 14th party congress he was a member of the Central Party Control Commission of the CPSU . In 1937 he was arrested for “terrorist activities” in the course of the Stalinist purges and shot on September 20th.

Figatner was rehabilitated in 1956.
