Yuri Rulew is a former Kazakh ski jumper .

Career

Rulew made his international debut in the 1998/99 season in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . However, he remained in the episode in this series without points. On February 7, 1999, he made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup in Harrachov . With rank 52, he clearly missed the points. In August he started in Hinterzarten in the team competition in the ski jumping Grand Prix . With the team he reached 11th place. For the 1999/00 season he started again in the World Cup in Kuopio , but remained without points again. He then went back to the Continental Cup.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2001 in Lahti , Rulew retired from the normal hill after jumping to 71 meters in the first round and reached 44th place together with Jaan Jüris . He did not start from the large hill. In the team competition on the normal hill, he and the team came in 11th and last place. On the large hill, he and the team also only reached 11th place.

In December 2001 Rulew started again at two Continental Cup competitions in Lahti, but missed the points in both and finally ended his active ski jumping career at the end of the season.
