Justin Guarini
Justin Guarini (* 28. October 1978 in Columbus , Georgia as Justin Eldrin Bell ) is an American singer.
Career
He became known to the general public in the fall of 2002 with his participation in the first season of the talent show American Idol . Guarini rose to be the crowd favorite and in the end came second behind Kelly Clarkson .
Immediately after the show's finale, Guarini received a contract with the record company RCA . However, his debut album was not released until ten months later. Guarini's popularity had already waned, and the album only reached number 20 on the US Billboard charts. With 134,000 copies sold, the album fell far short of the record company's expectations. RCA then canceled the record deal.
The 2003 film Justin & Kelly: Beach Party of Love , shot together with Kelly Clarkson , was not a success either, as it was rated the 17th worst film of all time by users of the Internet Movie Database .
