Justin Kruger

Justin Kruger is an American social psychologist and professor at New York University's Stern School of Business .

education

Kruger received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Santa Clara University in 1993. In addition, Kruger received his doctorate in social psychology from Cornell University in 1999 .

Scientific work

Kruger is best known for collaborating on a 1999 study with David Dunning . This study - better known as the Dunning-Kruger Effect - shows that those individuals who are the least performers (especially in the areas of humor assessment, grammar and logic) significantly overestimate their own competence.
