Prison for the Open Prison Berlin
The prison for the open prison Berlin (short: JVA OVB ) is a prison for the open prison in Berlin . It was created in 2010 from what were previously three penal institutions in Berlin for open men’s prisons and has 908 prison places at four locations.
history
On July 1, 2010, the JVA Hakenfelde , which had already been merged with the JVA Heiligensee on July 1, 2008 and now forms the main institution, and the JVA Düppel merged to form the Berlin prison.
The prison is part of the real estate special property of the State of Berlin managed by the state-owned BIM Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH .
