biography

Jutta Voss initially worked as an accountant and later as a personnel clerk. She also studied concert and lieder singing. She then received engagements at the Oldenburg State Theater and the Hamburg State Opera and other concert engagements. Her musical career ended after a three-year illness. She was the first woman to attend the “Botnang Course for Parish Service” and thus became a pastor on the second educational path . After the vicariate and a parish parish office, she worked in hospital pastoral care for ten years. During this time her interest in female mythology developed and she eventually studied analytical psychology at the CG Jung Institute in Zurich. She completed this course with a diploma. The thesis of the thesis was published in the book Das Schwarzmond-Tabu .

In the book Das Schwarzmond-Tabu it is assumed that the menstrual cycle originally represented a religious and culture-forming pattern, which has been forgotten due to the development of patriarchy . Voss researched what she saw as pre-patriarchal women-centered forms of religion, the Mysteries of Eleusis , which were forbidden with the establishment of the Christian churches in the 4th century. The menstrual cycles were danced there. The blood, which up until then was regarded as sacred, had become something cursed and women were robbed of their influence in the religious sphere. As a result, menstruation is no longer perceived as part of the monthly cycle, just as the "black moon" is not perceived as part of the lunar cycle. But there are parallels between the Lord's Supper and the cult around menstruation. In the book, the author continued to take the view that the renewal of a corresponding consciousness would not only renew the cultic and cultural competence of women, but would also improve the relationship between people and nature.

Due to the resulting church and denomination criticism, the pastor , who had been ordained and civil servant until then , was accused of heresy by the Evangelical Church in Württemberg . In the following public teaching objection proceedings (1990-1993) Jutta Voss came before a verdict and in 1993 renounced her ordination rights and resigned from the service of the regional church. As a result, she worked as a freelance course instructor, set up the center for female mythology in the Menucha house and was licensed as a psychoanalyst in 2000 . For reasons of age, the license was returned in 2013.

In 2005 she published the book Can obedience be a sin? Thoughtful things about the “completely normal” fascistic structures in church and society , on which she based her life and especially the experiences in dealing with her first book.
