Jutta Weißbecker

Jutta Weißbecker (born June 18, 1943 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Weißbecker achieved secondary school leaving certificate and attended the postal operations school, where she trained as a postal operations specialist. Then she attended the engineering school for economics. In 1965 she fled to West Berlin , thereby breaking off her studies. From 1969 she worked at the Postbank branch in West Berlin.

In 1976 Weißbecker joined the SPD. From 1982 to 1989 she was chairwoman of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women in Neukölln , from 1985 a member of the Neukölln District Assembly , where she was deputy parliamentary group chairwoman and district and state party congress delegate. From 1995 to 2006 she was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives , where she was chairman of the committee for work, vocational training and women, animal policy spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group and a member of the presidium.
