The Juurusvesi is a lake in the Finnish landscape of Northern Savo .
The Juurusvesi and the Akonvesi to the east form a lake with an area of 156.87 km². The lake is at a height of 81.8 m. It lies east of the Kallavesi , into which it flows over the Jännevirta Sound . The outflow from Vuotsjärvi to Akonvesi is an important tributary .
The Kuopio Airport , located at the south-western shore. The place Juankoski is located north of the Akonvesi .
