K'inich Kan Bahlam III. was a ruler ( Ajaw ) of the Maya city of Palenque , who ruled around 751. So far he is only known from his name on stele 7 from Pomoná , which at that time was probably a client state of Palenque. The stele describes celebrations at the end of a calendar cycle ( long count 9.16.0.0.0, calendar round 2 Ahaw 13 sec = May 9, 751), which were presided over by the ruler of Pomonas, K'inich Ho 'Hiix Bahlam , and in which K' inich Kan Bahlam III. participated.

Since there are no known mentions of K'inich Kan Bahlam III from Palenque itself. research suggests that his reign was short and / or restless. It also falls around the time when Palenque was defeated by the warring neighboring state of Toniná . In this context a broken plaque from Toniná is interesting, which tells of the victory of the ruler K'inich Tuun Chapaat and shows a prisoner from Palenque. However, since the signature has been destroyed, it cannot be said whether K'inich Kan Balam III. himself or just one of his vassals is depicted.
