Károlyi
The Károlyi von Nagykároly family are among the oldest Hungarian noble families . The family running to the tribal leaders Kund back in the late 9th century, when the conquest of Hungary by the tribes of the Magyars began. It comes from the family detectable Kaplyon , the Hungarian barony Michael Karolyi received in 1609, the Hungarian count conditions whose grandson Alexander Károlyi 1712th

- Mihály Károlyi (1875–1955), Hungarian politician
- Julian von Károlyi (1914–1993), pianist
For a long time the headquarters were in Nagykároly in Szatmár County (in today's Romania ), later in Zemplén and Fót .
