The Kärntner Volksverein was a parliamentary group in the Carinthian state parliament that only existed during the revolutionary year of 1848 . It is located as democratic , left , liberal and German national . As members are Joseph Janesch , Josef Ratz and Josef Tauerer called. He met in the restaurant to the white horse in the St. Veiter suburb .

Josef Ratz was a private teacher, had studied Engels and Bakunin , was wanted in a wanted list after the revolution was suppressed in 1849 and sentenced to four years in prison. Later he was penniless.

During the Revolution, Joseph Janesch was a member of the state parliament and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly for the Spittal district from 1861–1866 member of the 1st Carinthian state parliament .
