Kåre Fuglesang
Kåre Fuglesang (born June 10, 1921 in Rælingen , † November 16, 2000 ) was a Norwegian violinist and music teacher.
Life
Fuglesang studied violin in Oslo with Henrik Adam Due and at the Juilliard School in New York. From 1945 to 1965 and from 1976 to 1987 he was a member of the orchestra of the Philharmonic Society ( Filharmonisk Selskaps Orkester , Oslo Filharmonie ), and in the 1961–62 season he was also first concertmaster at the Norske Opera . From 1965 to 1972 he was concertmaster of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
Between 1972 and 1975 Vuglesang taught at the Kristiansand Music School and Conservatory, and was concertmaster in the city's orchestra. He also appeared as a soloist and was a member of several chamber music groups, including the Nye Norske Strykekvartett .
