Köglmühlbach in front of the Bavarian State Chancellery

The Köglmühlbach in Munich is part of the formerly extensive Munich Stadtbach system .

The historic Köglmühlbach flowed along the east side of the Hofgarten . The Köglmühle lay on him. The stream, like a large part of the city streams, was abandoned in 1968.

On the occasion of the construction of the Bavarian State Chancellery , the brook was recreated next to its original bed in 1992. Today it flows for about 250 m east of the State Chancellery along Franz-Josef-Strauss-Ring . After flowing through a round pond with a fountain , it crosses the Von-der-Tann-Strasse, from where it flows through the English Garden as the Schwabinger Bach .
