Koehler belief
The term Koehler belief denotes an unconditional or blind belief based solely on the testimony of others . Originally it meant absolute belief in the Church, especially among common men.
Allegedly the name comes from the fact that a charcoal burner replied to a theologian when asked what he believed: "What the church believes", and when asked what the church believes, he replied: "What I believe" .
