The Cologne-based sports venues GmbH is a company incorporated in 1958, a 100% subsidiary of the City of Cologne is the owner of numerous sports facilities in Cologne and operates this. The company is based in the east grandstand of the Rheinenergiestadion . It was founded to operate the sports hall and the ice and swimming stadium . Among other things, she was the organizer of the Cologne six-day race from 1958 to 1999 .
Starting in 1999, the company planned and partially financed the construction of the new stadium in the Müngersdorf Sports Park , which is now the Rheinenergiestadion , which it owns .
