The Kölpinsee is a 28-hectare lake in the area of the municipality of Loddin , district of Kölpinsee , on the island of Usedom , district of Vorpommern-Greifswald , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ( Germany ).
The lake, 0.1 m below sea level , is only two hundred meters away from the Baltic Sea and separated from it by a low fore dune and a protective dike. There is a circular path that goes around the lake. The name comes from Slavic and means swan lake (colpa = swan). The lake is about one kilometer long and 350 meters wide.
