The Queen Elisabeth Memorial is located on Elisabethplatz in Deutschkreutz in the Oberpullendorf district of Burgenland . It is a listed building .

history

The monument was erected in 1901 by the Deutschkreutz Beautification Association in memory of Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary . The subsequent Neuhäusergasse was renamed Elisabethgasse .

The obelisk contains the inscription In memory of Queen Elisabeth ( Hungarian Erszebet Kiralyné emlékere ) and the year 1898.
