List of rose varieties |
The rose variety Queen of Roses , synonymous with 'Color Wonder' or 'Queen of Roses', is a double, salmon-orange flowering hybrid tea with durable, fragrant flowers that are yellow on the underside. The hybrid tea was bred by Reimer Kordes in 1964 from 'Kordes Perfecta' × 'Super Star' and has dark green, leathery foliage, many large spines and a height of about one meter. The rose is susceptible to sooty mildew and powdery mildew and in rough locations sensitive to frost.
'Queen of the Roses' has a very long shelf life as a cut rose; however, the flowers should not be cut too buddy.
