Amman Royal Automobile Museum
The Amman Royal Automobile Museum ( Arabic متحف السيارات الملكي, DMG matḥaf as-sayyārāt al-malakī ; English The Royal Automobile Museum ) is a collection of historic vehicles that the kings of Jordan acquired and collected. Since 2003, the exhibits are public in the Automobile Museum in Amman accessible.
history
Alvis Firebird (1934-1936)
King Hussein began collecting extraordinary vehicles. Cars belonging to his father King Abdallah I can also be seen in the exhibition. In 2003 the museum was opened to the public at the instigation of King Abdallah II .
Special exhibits
- 52 Lincoln Capri : Hussein I used this vehicle for his coronation in 1953.
- 300 SL “Gullwing”, built in 1955 : King Hussein drove the Rumman Hill-Climb car race with this vehicle
