The building Königstraße 43 in the King's Road of Lübeck was for two centuries to live and work the Stadtphysici in Luebeck.

history

The property was first mentioned in 1321. It was sold to Lübeck citizen Ludeke Stenhorst in 1432 and acquired for them in 1546 by the heads of the Heiligen-Geist-Hospital foundation in Lübeck. It was transferred from the foundation to the city of Lübeck in 1574, along with the associated booths . From 1574 to 1762 it served as a physics building for the Stadtphysici as a place of residence and work.

The city sold the house again in 1815. In the 19th century, it was listed in the Lübeck registers as a gabled house with an uninhabited apartment. The corner house may previously have been connected as a unit with the property at Dr.-Julius-Leber-Straße 22. It has been a listed building since 1967 . A mural from the late Renaissance period with an inscription that has not yet been identified has been preserved in the house.

The reference to be found in the literature that there had been a coffee house there since the 18th century , which in the 19th century was called Harmonie , has to refer to today's No. 41 (1906 new building) on the other side of today's Dr.-Julius -Leber-Strasse refer.
