Klaus J. Groth (born November 8, 1941 ) is a German journalist and author of non-fiction books .

Life

Groth was editor and department head of the daily newspaper Lübecker Nachrichten and from 1985, as successor to Martin Wein, its editor-in-chief . In 1993 he left the newspaper publisher. Since then he has published non-fiction books. He was one of the founding members of the " Voice of the Majority " association, which was founded in 1996 and is made up of writers, journalists, publishers and scholars, who want to offer a powerful alternative to the left- wing cartel within large parts of the "writing guild" .

Groth came under criticism with publications such as Die Dictatur der Guten - political correctness , in which he demanded in 1996 "to be able to call things by their names again". The political scientist Hans-Helmuth Knütter , who is considered a pioneer of the New Right , refers to Groth's and Joachim Schäfer's Stigmatized - the Terror of the Do-Gooders (2003), which he expressly describes as recommendable, on his website "Links exposed" . With the consent of the authors, he published excerpts from the book.

Groth stepped under the name of editor-in-chief a. D. as a consultant for the state and economic society .

In Germany's oldest publishing and printing house Schmidt-Römhild , Groth published works on monument protection in Lübeck and Hanover. The volume Weltkulturerbe Lübeck with the description of more than a thousand listed buildings in the old town of Lübeck is considered a standard work. He also wrote health guides. From his advisor Happiness is Feasible - The Practice of Positive Thinking from 2000, a Polish edition appeared in 2001 in a translation by Robak Grzegorz.

Groth is married and lives in Lübeck .
