The Köprübaşı dam ( Turkish Köprübaşı Barajı ) is located 15 km northwest of Mengen in the Turkish province of Bolu on the course of the Devrek Çayı (also Bolu Çayı ).
The Köprübaşı dam was built in the years 2002-2009 as a rubble dam with a clay core . It is used to generate energy and regulate drainage . The dam is 108 m high and has a volume of 9 million m³. The associated reservoir covers an area of 5.27 km² with normal damming and has a storage volume of 199 million m³. The hydroelectric power plant of the Köprübaşı dam has 2 units of 40.44 MW each . The standard work capacity is 203 GWh per year.
