The Devrek Çayı is a left tributary of the Filyos Çayı in northern Turkey . In ancient times the river was called Ladon (Latin: Ladon ).
The Devrek Çayı rises in the province of Bolu on Lake Abant Gölü . It initially flows as Abant Çayı in a north-easterly direction to Bolu . He continues his course as Büyüksu Çayı towards east-northeast. At Gökçesu he picks up the Çayı from the right and then turns north and cuts through a mountain range of the West Pontic Mountains as Bolu Çayı . The 108 m high Köprübaşı dam dams the river. Below the dam, the river crosses the provincial border to Zonguldak . Later he passes the town of Devrek and reaches Filyos Çayı 15 km further northeast. The Devrek Çayı has a length of 150 km.
