Körtik Tepe , also Kotik / Kotuk Tepe , is a Neolithic site near Ağilköy in the district of Bismil in the Turkish province of Diyarbakır .

The place was discovered in 1989 as part of a survey and explored from 1990 as a rescue excavation before the construction of the Ilısu dam . The approximately 5 m high hill lies at the confluence of the Tigris and Batman Çayı , a very humid and spring-rich alluvial plain. It has a surface of around 100 × 150 m. Numerous medieval sherds were found on the surface, but also many microliths . In keeping with the latter, remains of the aceramic were uncovered during excavations . These lay under a medieval layer of use and consisted mainly of graves. The additions to these burials are similar to finds from Hallan Çemi and Demirköy .
