The courtyard complex Kühlenhof 1–2 is in the Hardt district in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
The building was built in the early 20th century. It was entered under No. K 060 on October 24, 2001 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

The Kühlenhof 1–2 property is located south of Landstrasse 39, which runs from Hardt to Rasseln .
architecture
The building complex Kühlenhof 1–2 consists of two parallel structures that accompany a common inner courtyard. The Kühlenhof 2 building to the east of the inner courtyard consists of a two-storey residential building under a hipped roof , built on the northern side of the former farm building, built in the mid-20th century.
A former two-story, plastered structure under a gable roof , with partial roof towing to the east, and manure, which originally served as a cowshed on the ground floor and as a storage area for feed (hay, straw) on the upper floor , adjoins to the south . The functional stable facilities such as B. troughs, drinking troughs, manholes, stall lanes, stall partition walls, etc. were expanded during the 1990s in order to create larger spatial units after the abandonment of agriculture .
The brick building is characterized by gliedernde Ziegelsteinlisenen , Ziegelsteinfenster- and -torrahmungen and - cornices and plaster wall surfaces. The Kühlenhof 1 building to the west of the inner courtyard consists of two components standing at right angles to one another under saddle roofs without a continuous ridge. They were originally also used as stables or coach houses. Their design is based on the farm building opposite and is also characterized by articulated brick pilaster strips, brick window and door frames and cornices and plastered wall surfaces.
