The Künstlerbund Mecklenburg und Vorpommern eV is a member of the Federal Association of Visual Artists (BBK) and was founded on July 23, 1990. It is based in Schwerin .
Purpose of the association
The aim is to increase the value of the visual arts in the country. Many different actions are carried out regionally for this purpose.
In addition, the artist association is committed to the visual artists in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
history
When it was founded, the association emerged from the three district associations of the VBK-GDR ( Neubrandenburg , Schwerin and Rostock ). In 1991 the first state show of the artists 'union took place under the title 1991 First state show of the artists' union MV under the title "Heaven and Earth", in 2000 the first series of workshops at schools "Artists for Students". The “Art Today” day of action has been held since 2008.
