Kęstutis Skamarakas

Kęstutis Skamarakas (born July 3, 1952 in Ariogala , Rajongemeinde Raseiniai ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

From 1959 to 1967 Skamarakas studied in the Ariogala Middle School and from 1967 to 1970 at the Sovchos- Technikum Lančiūnava in the district of Kėdainiai . From 1970 to 1972 he graduated from the Tytuvėnai sowkhos - Technikum in Kelmė district and became a zoo technician . From 1972 Skamarakas did compulsory service in the Soviet Army . From 1975 he studied at the Lietuvos veterinarijos akademija in Kaunas and from 1998 at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering of the Gedimino technikos universitetas in Vilnius. From 1993 to 2000 Skamarakas was General Manager at AB “Mirkliai”. From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the Seimas and from 2007 to 2011 mayor of Raseiniai .

From 2000 Skamarakas was a member of Naujoji sąjunga , from 2008 the Lietuvos valstiečių liaudininkų sąjunga and then the Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija .
