Kōji Kimura
Kōji Kimura ( Japanese 木村 興 治 , Kimura Kōji ; * December 1940 ) is a Japanese table tennis player and official. He became world champion four times in the 1960s.

Kōji Kimura is left-handed. He was national Japanese champion several times, around 1962 and 1965. In 1962 he was number one in the Japanese rankings.
From 1961 to 1967 he took part in four world championships and won a gold medal each time: 1961 in doubles with Nobuya Hoshino , 1963 in mixed with Kazuko Itō , 1965 in mixed with Masako Seki and 1967 with the Japanese team. In 1967 he also reached the final in mixed with Naoko Fukazu .
In 1964 he was Asian champion in singles, doubles (with Ken Konaka ) and in team competition. In mixed with Masako Seki , he failed only in the final. In the ITTF world rankings , he finished fourth in 1964.

After the end of his active career, Kōji Kimura worked as a national coach in Japan, later he took over official duties. He is a board member of the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) and Vice President of the Japanese Table Tennis Association (JTTA). In 2005 he became executive vice-president of the world association ITTF .
