Kōjirō Kaimoto ( Japanese 海 本 幸 治郎 , Kaimoto Kōjirō ; * October 14, 1977 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Kaimoto learned to play soccer on the school team at Tokai University Gyosei High School . He signed his first contract with Gamba Osaka in 1996 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club he completed 29 first division games. In 2001 he moved to Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in South Korea . In 2003 he returned to Japan and played for first division club Nagoya Grampus Eight . For the club he completed 39 first division games. In 2005 he moved to league rivals Albirex Niigata . For the club he completed 11 first division games. In 2006 he moved to the second division club Tokyo Verdy . In 2007 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League. For the club he completed 52 games. He then played in Australia at Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC and North Queensland Fury . At the end of 2009 he ended his career as a football player.
