Kota Hirano

Kōta Hirano ( Japanese 平野 耕 太 , Hirano Kōta ; born July 14, 1973 in Adachi , Tokyo , Japan ) is a Japanese manga artist .

Life

Hirano began his career as an assistant to other manga artists. He published his first work as a professional draftsman in 1995 with the pornographic manga Coyote in the manga magazine Manga Papipo . More erotic comics from his pen followed.

In 1996 he drew the manga series Dai Dōjin Monogatari for Comic Gum magazine . He created another series from 1997 to 1998 under the title Susume !! Seigaku Dennō Kenkyū for the video game magazine Famitsu .

Hirano achieved his greatest success to date with the manga series Hellsing , on which he worked for Young King Ours magazine from 1997 to 2008 . The manga about an organization that fights against vampires was implemented as an anime television series and translated into several languages. Hellsing comprises ten anthologies. A tape sells about 200,000 times in Japan.
