K * Rings Brothers

The K * Rings Brothers are a German band from the Odenwald, consisting of three brothers with the stage names Carl Laschnikow, Fritz Firewalker and Mox de Stromer. Typical of the K * Rings Brothers is their sound, a mixture of hip-hop, soul, reggae, ska and punk elements, as well as the singing of Max.

history

The eldest of the three brothers, Max, had been musically active for a long time and sang, rapped, played the trumpet and guitar in various ska, punk, reggae and hip-hop bands when he convinced his two younger brothers in 1996 that the Band to form K * Rings Brothers. In 1999 they produced a tape that drew unexpected fame. It took them a year to build up a functioning infrastructure with which they could bring the double single "Triumvirate / How long still" to the market in 2000. The song "Wie lang noch" received a lot of airplay and ran on MTV and VIVA .

In 2002 the K * Rings Brothers were on tour with MC René through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The following year they released the album Peripherique together with other artists under the name of the label Peripherique . In 2004 the time had come and the K * Rings Brothers celebrated success with the album Tricolor and the single "K * Rings Zone". In 2005 they produced the album Sortie by Anael & Jeanne . The second Peripherique album Zimmer 101 was released in 2006. The brothers are particularly valued for their live qualities. So they already acted u. a. as opening act for De La Soul , Toni-L and the Stieber Twins . In January 2008 the band was nominated as the only German act for the European Interactive Award 2008 for their website mySOS.de for the album "Save Our Souls - SOS", which was announced for July . Xavier Naidoo also has a guest appearance on this album .

The K * Rings Brothers have been running their own label called Peripherique since 2002 . On this label they release their own as well as the CDs of several other acts. Since 2005 they have also had their own publishing house, KBmusic , to which the Mainz-based producer Shuko is under contract.
