K. Bapaiah

K. Bapaiah ( Telugu : కె. బాపయ్య ) is an Indian director of Telugu and Hindi films .

Bapaiah began working as a film editor at the studios of the production company Vijaya Pictures in the mid-1960s . He became an assistant director and made his debut in 1970 as the main director of the film Drohi . In the 1980s he shifted to low-budget Hindi remakes of hit Telugu films. Star of these films was often Jeetendra - Mawaali (1983) and Himmat Aur Mehnat (1987), but also Mithun Chakraborty as in the Vendetta - thrillers Ghar Ek Mandir (1984) and Waqt Ki Awaaz (1988). Bapaiah's last directorial work was in 1995. He is a nephew of director KS Prakash Rao .
