The KAP Beteiligungs-AG , shortly KAP AG is a publicly held German industrial and investment company based in osthessischen Fulda . The group of medium-sized companies develops technological solutions and industrial products for industrial and trading companies, especially in the segments Engineered Products, Surface Technologies, IT Services, Flexible Films and Precision Components. KAP is active at 28 locations in Europe, India, China and the USA. The holding company (as of 2017) includes Mehler , Präzisionsteile Dresden, Metallverarbeitung Döbeln and Galvanotechnischeflächen GmbH, among others .
Share and shareholders
The company's share capital is divided into around 6.6 million ordinary shares . The shares are part of the CDAX share index .
As of September 2018, the main shareholder is the Carlyle Group with around 46.1% of the shares. A blocking minority is held by FM Verwaltungs GmbH with 25.8% of the shares. The remaining 28.1% of the shares are considered to be free float .
